Krystal Hoople RN, BScN, IBCLC
I grew up west of Stony Plain in the town of Wabamun and moved to the big city to attend the Misericordia School of Nursing and the University of Alberta. After receiving my degree in nursing, I returned back to the community I grew up in. While practicing, I continued my education with Grande Prairie College and received my Rural Nursing Certificate in 2000. As my passion for maternal health grew, I worked to become a certified lactation consultant in 2009.
I joined the Westgrove team in July 2013. Prior to that I was a Nurse Educator at MacEwan University and had a private practice offering certified lactation support and prenatal education in the community. My position at Westgrove has allowed me to open a breastfeeding clinic and offer prenatal education for our patients. When I am not working with the amazing team at Westgrove, I enjoy spending time with my husband and cheering for our three kids as they participate in hockey, basketball, track and field, lacrosse and dance. Watching my kids find their true passions in life is my absolute favorite pastime.
